Iran has resumed gas production at three offshore platforms in the South Pars gasfield, according to state-affiliated media.
South Pars is the largest source of natural gas in Iran, located near the coastal city of Asaluyeh.
It was forced to halt production in March after Israel conducted strikes on Iranian oil and petrochemical facilities – disrupting processing capacity at some onshore fields.
South Pars is part of the world’s largest natural gasfield, which is shared by Iran and Qatar.
Al Jazeera’s Almigdad Alruhaid is following the latest developments out of Iran.
