Typhoon Kalmagi Hits Philippines: Floods, Widespread Damage, and Ongoing Search for Missing

Typhoon Kalmagi sweeps through central Philippines, causing massive flooding, with the town of Iloan in Cebu province recording one of the highest death tolls. Rescue teams continue searching for the missing amid roads blocked by debris and mud, while residents try to clean damaged homes and recover from the losses. More than 3,000 houses have been partially or completely damaged, and floods have destroyed cars and spread through the streets. The government warns of another approaching typhoon from the north threatening the country, forcing residents to prepare for further natural hazards.
