Israeli air strikes have targeted paramedics and rescue teams in southern Lebanon, including in the village of Deir Qanun al-Nahr near Tyre.
According to Lebanon’s health ministry, at least six people were killed, including two rescuers and a Syrian child. Rescue workers were reportedly struck while responding to a previous drone attack.
Authorities say more than 120 first responders have been killed in Israeli strikes since March, raising serious concerns over the safety of medical and emergency personnel in the conflict zone.
Al Jazeera’s report highlights growing risks faced by rescue teams operating in southern Lebanon.
