Health officials update the public on 18 passengers from the MV Hondius who landed in the US early Monday morning.
A news conference is taking place in Omaha, Nebraska, home of the University of Nebraska Medical Center. One passenger who tested positive for hantavirus was expected to be taken directly to the center’s biocontainment unit, the facility said late Sunday. The other passengers were expected to go to the center’s National Quarantine Unit for assessment and monitoring.
